BYE BYE 2009!!!

What a FANTASTIC year! I have to say I REALLY enjoyed 2009. I had a really hard year in 2008 with the loss of my Grandma Eulah Back, My Father Kenneth Back, and the forced change of my career. They say when it rains it pours, and it did. I almost lost everything in 2008. I trusted in God, and gave it all to him. Life is about CHANGE, sometimes its painful, sometimes its beautiful. Most of the time it is BOTH! The power of prayer and my wonderful husband - helped me past my tragic year. Losing your Best Friend is never easy, but in this case my Best Friend was my Father. He was the greatest Dad a girl could hope for. I miss him but I know he is in Heaven watching over me everyday!

My Quote for 2009: Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow.
~James Dean "

I lived my life in 2009! I had so much fun and tried new things. With the support of my loving Husband - I was able to become a freelance model. I worked a variety of trade shows and expos, drag races, NASCAR races, BBQ festivals, bridal shows, etc. I really love not bringing my work home with me. I get to make lots of money taking pics and smiling! LOL!

I would have to say the International Pumper Expo Feb. 2009 in Louisville KY - had to be the most interesting! I met Kindra Clark - who just won Miss KY 2010 - congrats girl!!! We had fun and didn't know anything about the Pumper truck industry!

My favorite Spokes Mode job, is the one I currently have with American Laser Centers. I began working show in Memphis TN in Jan. 09, and have traveled all over TN and AL for various events. RGA Models is the wonderful agency that allows me to continue this great career. I will now work in Minneapolis/St.Paul for events. I really am blessed with such a wonderful job. I get to represent a company I am passionate about! What girl wouldn't want permanent hair removal, or microdermabrasion facials?

I also had the opportunity to work with a great group of ladies at POP Marketing. This pic was taken at my going away party! I loved working at POP!!!! I will really miss all of my friends from Nashville! :(

My life long goal is to become a professional poker player. I guess I didn't need to get a Bachelors Degree for that, but you know I needed something to fall back on! LOL! I met with the editor of Rounder Magazine in Tunica MS at the World Poker Finals and became a Rounder Magazine Girl! YAY! I was also asked to go to Atlantic City for the Rounder Bounty Girl Tournament. I took my BFF - Shayna and Meagan with me. We made lots of money gambling, but didn't get to play in the tourney. Hopefully we will get to work more events for Rounder / Spike TV in 2010!

So what does 2010 have in store for me... Not really sure. I am going to Las Vegas (for the 1st time) Jan.5-11th to work at CES for Skype. CES is the LARGEST electronics show in the world! Can't wait!

Peace - you'll hear from me next year!

Christmas Eve in Fargo

I started out Christmas Eve with the 8 inches of snowfall from the night before! Not use to a white snowy Christmas! Since there is not a Honey Baked Ham or Heavenly Hams in ND, I had to buy a ham from Sun Mart grocery store and attempt my own Christmas Eve dinner. As you can see it turned out fantastic. It was a Brown Sugar Honey Maple Syrup glazed ham - YUM!!!

We Have never seen snow like this! There is about 12 inches and we have a 5 ft snow drift in our back yard!! WOW! I am suppose to work a Best Buy promotions Saturday, but I don't see that happening!

Moving Day - December 14th

I left Nashville TN on DEc. 14th to move to Fargo ND! Why, because of relocation for my husband's job! It was 62 degrees in Nashville on the 14th and -12 when I arrived in Fargo on the 15th at 9:30pm.

Aside from the $171 speeding ticket, the drive wasn't that bad! This is my first blog post, so I will let you know how Fargo ND is really like!

My journey to Fargo

This was my crazy cat McNair. He went crazy in the car and ran me off the road. I got a $171 speeding ticket in Benton KY. I explained to the officer that my cat busted out of his carrier and I was trying to get off of the interstate to find a Walmart to buy a new carrier. He helped me tape up the old carrier and gave me a ticket!
I bought a new carrier and drove through St. Louis MO. I found a Holiday Inn and stayed the night - since they are an animal friendly hotel. I had 3 cats to board with me!!
